Big Buddies

_ Big Buddies started in the spring of 2011 as a Challenge for Change suggestion from a Hudson Community member. The community member identified a need for positive peer relationships between high school students of Hudson High and elementary students in the Hudson area. YAH picks up Hudson high students at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and transport them to either E.P. Rock Elementary or Willow River Elementary. The students then eat lunch and participate in outdoor recess. The goal of the program is to provide positive peer relationships and make the elementary playground an all inclusive environment.

This fall we've been having an exhilarating time with Big Buddies and you should ask your students about Double Dutch, tether ball, ball tag and human jungle gyms!
