Empty Bowls Dinner 2012
_We are very excited to finally have YAH partnering with the Hudson High
School Social Justice League (SJL) for the Empty Bowls event, to be held
on February 3, 2012 at The Phipps Center for the Arts. Empty Bowls will be in the River Room from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We are looking for volunteers to staff the event and soup donations.
Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement to help end hunger that our students take part in every year. Student artists make the bowls for the event and donate them to the cause. The bowls are then used at a soup dinner as a promotion to buy tickets for the Empty Bowls Dinner. The objectives of the Empty Bowls Dinner include:

- Educating youth and the community about poverty issues, especially food insecurity.
- Providing opportunities for community service by forming lasting partnerships.
- Raising funds for local agencies serving those in need.
