On Tuesday March 29th, more than 40 Youth Action Hudson high school volunteers participated in our annual spring Peer to Peer program! Our youth presented to all 6-8th grade students at Hudson Middle School on a variety of topics ranging from health and wellness, to all about high school!
Peer to Peer is one of our most popular programs, primarily because it provides high school students with the unique opportunity to interact with their younger peers and help them navigate through middle school and prepare for high school.
Junior Rosa Dunn has been involved in Peer to Peer since her freshman year and says, "I love Peer to Peer because it gives me the opportunity to use my own life experiences to help others younger than me. Being a mentor is such an awesome and enriching opportunity that Peer to Peer has given me, and I am very grateful. My high school experience would not be complete without this program".
This program would not be possible without the support of Hudson Middle School staff and administration. We would like to thank them for continually welcoming us into their school year and year and providing our students with an opportunity to have a positive impact on their students.
Thank you to Angela Olson Law for sponsoring a pizza lunch for our students!
Finally, thank you to our fabulous student volunteers: Emma Anderson, Madi Bates, Jacob Benoy, Laure Cardell, Katie Cardell, Brooklyn Casa De Calvo, Emily Corson, Renee Dau, Sam Deyo, Rosa Dunn, Allison Ewig, Middie Forcier, Emerson Hatch, Chloe Heifner, Phoebe Holter, Bridget Huepfel, Jessica Iverson, Lauren Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Morgan Kallenbach, Caroline Kloster, Jack Knoke, Alexa Marlow, Devyn McLellan, Olivia McMenimen, Lexie Meyer, Marina Minic, Maddy Mohrland, Kelley Nelson, Lauren O'Neill, Holly Penman, Emily Plattner, Jackie Rau, River Steen, Lindsay Tvedt, Emily Vizenor, Ellie Wasmund, Clare Weber and Maddie Zamzow!
