YAH Welcomes Four New Board Members!

Pam Brokaw has been involved with Youth Action Hudson before not only as a parent volunteer and committee member, but as Vice President and President of our organization. She is also currently serving on the St. Croix Valley Youth Court Advisory Board and is a member of the City of Hudson's Park Board.  She served one term on Hudson's City Council.  Pam is in human resources at 3M, and she attends Rasmussen College.  She and her daughter Katie founded the St. Croix Valley Celiacs. She also helped her daughter Brooke with: Hats from the Heart, a program where over 300 hats, scarves and mittens were collected and donated to local non-profits working with families in need; All Dressed Up, a program dedicated to providing  prom attire to teens in St. Croix County who might not otherwise be able to afford it; and The Great Hang Up Campaign, a program dedicated to making our roads safer for all drivers by eliminating distracted driving..  Pam enjoys spending time with her family and crafting of all kinds - she and Brooke are members of the Croix Croppers and have fun spending time with other "crafters."

Kevin Urbik is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in May, 2010. After some time as a judicial clerk, Kevin Joined Redmon Law Chartered as an attorney in October, 2010.  Kevin is actively involved in St. Croix Valley Rotaract and the Hudson Daybreak Rotary Club.  Kevin is also a Big Brother through Big Brother Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin, president of the Heritage Greens Executive Row Townhome Association and co-founder of the Valley Professional Group.  Kevin looks forward to serving the Hudson community by helping, empowering and engaging youth through service learning, leadership and education as a board member of YAH.

Gay Williamson has been a very active supporter of Youth Action Hudson for years through numerous volunteer roles, including committee work and 10 years of previous service as a member of the Youth Action Hudson Board of Directors.  Outside of Youth Action Hudson, Gay's has served the community as a volunteer coordinator for the Hudson High School Career Center and as a board member of the Senior All Night Party Committee.  Gay is also currently the treasurer for the Hudson Area Senior Center and lives in Hudson with her husband David and 3 sons.

Alane Wood has lived in Hudson with her husband and family since 1982.  Her two sons both graduated from Hudson High School, and her daughter will graduate in May 2011.  Alane is employed by Andersen Corporation in Bayport, Minnesota.  She spent the last four years in the human resources department while attending Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she pursued a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.  Over the past decade, Alane's volunteer work has been on behalf of the Twin Cities and St. Croix Valley chapters of Habitat for Humanity.  The rest of her volunteer hours were spent in the classrooms of E.P. Rock Elementary, Hudson Middle School and Hudson High School supporting the music, theater, band and art programs.  This dedication to the arts was shared by her sons, who both made our Coffee House Live program a big part of their social lives as teenagers.
