Saturday Y Live
_ Saturday Y Live was originally
known as Coffee House Live. This year, the St. Croix Valley YMCA and Youth
Action Hudson have partnered to bring the next installment of YMCA Teen Night.
Saturday Y Live is a safe and supervised place for the high school aged youth
of Hudson (grades 9-12) to come together and listen to live music
played by their own peers. The gym is also open for dodge ball, basketball,
volleyball, and much more. Other activities like ping pong, pool, and video
games are available as well. Cost of the event is $5.
"I was able to go to Saturday Y Live as a volunteer. I had a great time, mainly because the music was incredible! There is nothing like hearing high school bands. They may not be perfect; but, there is something unique about them. Vine Street and the Manhatten Project both played for an hour each. After the bands played, there was beat boxing and some interesting comedy. I liked hearing both bands; because, they each had different styles! It was neat to see my fellow peers come out and listen to their friends play music on a Saturday night. All in all, I had a great night and loved the experience of Saturday Y Live." - Emma Dunn
