Fall Peer-to-Peer
Our Peer-to-Peer program began began with six high school youth who wanted to address peer conflict. They established Peer-to-Peer as an approach to empowering youth to notice conflict in their lives and to establish healthy approaches to resolve it. In the fall and spring, students of Hudson High School spend two months researching an area of conflict. We meet at Hudson High School Monday nights from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., divide into groups of three to five and plan an interactive and informative presentation on a specific identified area of conflict.
This fall Hudson High School students in grades nine through twelve researched the four types of bullying, emotional, verbal, physical and cyber-bullying. On November 21st and 22nd they presented to the fifth grade classes of E.P. Rock, Willow River, River Crest, North Hudson and St. Patricks addressing the Steps to Respect to combat bullying.
